First, we want thank the Almighty God for keeping us alive. That you are alive is an indication that your long awaited miracle will reach you in Jesus name.
Now, to the issue of the day.
Let’s begin with the Bible’s definition of faith . Hebrew 11 vs 1 states: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things not seen”.
It states further in verse 3, “ Through faith , we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear”.
If we reflect deeply on these “ the evidence of things not seen “, and the latter part of verse 3, which states, “ so that things which are not seen were not made of things which do appear”, it becomes clear that the spiritual has great influence on the physical.
So, it could also mean that our hope is based on the spiritual. Therefore, for our hopes to become a reality, we need to have total confidence in God who can do all things.
Hebrew 11 v 6 lends credence to this. It states: “ But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is , and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”.
Are you still doubtful that the spiritual controls the physical?
Let me share with you the experience of one or two women. This lady was waiting on the Lord for a little over a decade. While praying ceaselessly, she had a dream in which she saw herself with a set of twins. Then a huge human being appeared and snatched one of the babies. Eventually, this woman had a son. The boy was barely 14 months when she conceived and had another son. Now, she says, the two boys insist on dressing like twins and whenever she reminds them they are no twins, the boys always insist they are twins. It was not until then that she remembered her dream.
This story is not only for people who want to get married but also for singles.
There is the case of another lady and a young man who had been dating and were looking forward to getting married. One night, the lady had a dream that a wedding dress was snatched from her. She didn’t think much of the dream but, barely two months after, the young man informed her that he was getting married to someone else.
What she lost in the spiritual, she also lost in the physical.
Let’s reflect on Matthew 18 verse 18: “Verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven”.
How much trust do you have in the Lord?
Pastor Gbenga Oso in sermon to demonstrate our trust in God, said we must believe that “ whatever He says He will do, He will do it”.
Oso told the congregation: “Whatever the challenge, once you continue to serve God, that challenge will expire”.
So what are the benefits of trusting God? The General Overseer of Laughter Fouondation Ministry, said: “A person who has total trust in God will not be sad, he will not be depressed because you know that you are trusting God who can bring you out of the challenge”.
He cited the case of a woman who had been waiting on the Lord for years. She had gone to several hospitals and, at some point, a doctor told him: “Madam, only a miracle can make you have a baby”.
At that point, this woman knew she had to seek God. She went to seek God with her faith at the highest point.
According to Pastor Oso, the woman watched a programme of Laughter Foundation on television and she decided to go and worship there.
On getting to the church premises, she held on to the doorpost and said: “O God, the doctor has said only a miracle can make me a mother. I am here. O Lord God, intervene in my situation and make me a mother”.
To shorten this story, the woman continued to demonstrated her total faith and trust in God and, finally, the miracle came.
The good news is that she became a mother of twins; a boy and a girl.
Demonstrate your trust
It is important to demonstrate our trust in God. Do you believe He can do all things? If you do, then you need to demonstrate it.
How? There are several ways a believer can demonstrate trust in God.
This is done by praying and fasting, among other things.
However, we must understand that prayer is no magic. Most times , you need to ask repeatedly in prayer before the answer manifests.
Remember, those who cry unto God will never cry unto man.
Take a decision to reject any satanic offer, no matter how desperate your situation seems.
Have confidence in God. Remember that God has the capacity to reposition you from shame to fame.
When a woman who has been barren for 15 years gives birth to set of twins, she has moved from shame to fame.
Bear in mind that those who surrender all into God’s hands will always see God’s hand in everything.
Your story must change
Be determined that your story must change and work towards it. Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye, in a sermon, titled, “Your story must change”, spoke on the story of the man who was lame for 38 years . The man encountered Jesus and his story changed.
Pastor Kalejaiye said our assurance is in Isaiah 43 verses 18 and 19: “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold , I will do a new thing ; now shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness , and rivers in the desert”.
When God changes one’s story, Pastor Kalejaiye said “ a bitter story is changed for the better”.
Not only that, he told the congregation, “ God will give you a result that will cancel the insult in your life”.
Sister and brother, hold on, God will surely visit you.
